 Patrick Chanéac, born in 1961 in Lyon, is a self-taught painter and sculptor whose unique work invites active and participatory exploration. After studying biology and then at the École Normale with a view to becoming a teacher, Chanéac finally chose the path of art.
 Since the 1990s, he has exhibited in France and Switzerland, developing a distinctive artistic language. His work explores the paving of the surface with geometric shapes, flat colors, prints, graphics and symbols. Using acrylic paint and glycerophthalic lacquers, Chanéac applies these elements to wooden supports, structuring his creations with meticulous lines.
 Sculptor and painter, he creates works in close connection, sharing materials and techniques. Beyond his artistic expression, Chanéac has organized a national literary short story competition for 23 years, demonstrating interdisciplinary collaboration.
