GODDA
(Gudrun Ims Clouzeau)

GODDA, a painter, has traced her artistic path from her beginnings in Norway, her country of origin, then in London, until her settlement in the south of France. Under the artist name "GODDA" (an affectionate nickname from her childhood given by her father that evokes a fulfilled childhood, the cradle of her inspiration), she draws her inspiration from a happy childhood. Sensitive to beauty from a young age, GODDA has explored different artistic forms. From her father's drawing and her own sketches during adolescence to fine art classes and specialization in plastic art as a school teacher, she has developed a varied palette of skills. Her artistic journey took her to Newcastle upon Tyne in England, where she perfected her skills by observing light and shadows. After teaching for two years in London, a world tour brought her to Eguilles, where she has lived ever since. Today, fully dedicated to her art, GODDA immerses herself in her creation, torn between the delicate expression of dry pastel and the vivacity of acrylic paint. An artistic duality that reveals all her passion. It is in this creative sanctuary that she explores the subtleties of pastel, without resorting to water to obtain the effects that so distinctly characterize her work. Protected by a mask and a closed door, she immerses herself in the world of pigments, capturing each nuance with captivating precision. Her artistic approach is intuitive, oscillating between the abstract and the semi-abstract. She draws her inspiration from nature, architecture, art exhibitions and her own limitless exploration. Themes, such as the Madonna and Child, gardens, celestial ladders and shelters, emerge naturally according to her intuition. GODDA's career is marked by awards and recognitions, such as her participation in international exhibitions and obtaining the bronze medal of ARTS-SCIENCES-LETTRES in 2023. GODDA has been selected for prestigious events such as the Biennale Internationale de Pastel in Lyon. Her exhibition at "Art Capital" at the Grand Palais Ephémère in Paris marked a highlight of her career. With her works permanently exhibited in prestigious spaces and her collaborations with renowned galleries, GODDA continues to captivate viewers with her unique and timeless artistic expression.
